About this vessel
GOGAMA presents an opportunity to acquire a lightly used 49 Beneteau at a fantastic price. The yacht is heavily upgraded with fantastic custom features and is in great condition. She is extremely well equipped for the day sailor, weekender or extended cruiser.
The companionway steps lead down to a very spacious interior styled by the Italian firm Nauta Designs, well known for its megayacht interiors. The designers have done a very nice job compromising between stylishness and the need to use the interior at sea; fiddles and handholds abound in warm, light, and airy surroundings.
When the light gets too bright, blinds pull down inside a deck liner/valance that keeps them in place when the boat's heeling.
The saloon table cleverly swivels and folds up for sailing and expands for dining; open for business, the table seats eight. Opposite the table is a comfortable straight settee with a fold down armrest.
The nav station is to starboard of the companionway, and no bulkhead obstructs the view forward. The chart table is big enough to accommodate charts with a minimum of folding. There is a 9" Raymarine EGPS plotter / Color Radar flush mounted along with Generator Controls, VHF Radio and circuit breakers.
The spacious galley is to port, with a gimbaled three-burner stove and oven. The galley has a number of seagoing elements. The sinks are close to the centerline so they don't fill on either tack. There's plenty of storage space and abundant counter space.
The forward owners stateroom features a large, centerline queen berth with a pair of hull ports. The forehatch supplies ventilation and more light. The large en suite head has a separate shower enclosed by a curved sliding door. A hatch above the shower ventilates the head. Opposite the head is a good-sized hanging locker and a vanity with a seat.
The two huge aft cabins feature great use of space with a large double berths in each. There are hanging lockers in both port and starboard staterooms, and a head with shower to starboard.
The hull is constructed of hand-laid solid GRP bonded to a structural grid/hull liner of directional fiberglass/GRP for a strong, stiff, light composite. Vinylester hull barrier coat to resist osmotic blistering and zone-specific stitchmat laminates for specific increased strength optimization.
The deck is constructed of a cored GRP sandwich for stiffness, thermal and acoustic insulation and lighter weight. Solid fiberglass reinforcement in high load areas. Integral unidirectional GRP deck beams for added strength. Main bulkheads bonded 360 degrees to the hull and deck for rigid torsional and compression strength.
