Overview

About this vessel

2008 Bertram 510 Convertible with numerous recent upgrades, ready for action. This vessel is nearing the end of a 3-year Lease-to-Purchase program from AMI KIDS; the lease may be assumed as part of the purchase.

A premium sportfishing machine that combines Bertram quality with sleek styling and luxurious accommodations. The three-stateroom interior is an impressive display of hi-gloss cabinetry and top-shelf furnishings. The large cockpit can easily accommodate multiple anglers, with the helm positioned well aft on the bridge deck and allowing for a U-shaped seating space forward complete with table. Rod storage in the overhead of the salon is a longtime Bertram trademark. Washer and dryer complete the impressive list of features.

Recent Updates

Main engines are twin Caterpillar C-18s with low hours and a fresh 1,000-hour service completed in May 2026. All four turbos have been replaced, with original turbos available as spares. All starters for the main engines and generator have been replaced, as have all raw water pumps for both. The ZF Marine direct-drive transmissions feature electronic controls. New Caterpillar engine gauges have been installed.

The helm features a new enclosure, new Garmin electronics package with new VHF radios, new HVAC units (3 total), and dedicated helm heat and air conditioning. New Starlink WiFi system has been installed, and the entire stereo system has been updated.

A new Eskimo cockpit ice machine produces 600 lbs per day. New outriggers, new props, new shaft seals, and new cutlass bearings have been installed. All lighting has been updated to LED, including a new LED lightbar on the front of the hardtop, new LED cockpit spreader lights, and new LED underwater lights. New Electrosea strainers treat all salt water entering the boat.

Interior updates include re-upholstered salon sofa, new helm deck upholstery, and new weather covers for helm chairs and fighting chair. All mechanical systems have received attention: new freshwater pump and control panel, new raw water pump and control panel, new holding tank macerator pump, and new gray water pump.

The bottom was completely soda blasted, barrier coated, and bottom painted in winter 2025–2026.

Flying Bridge and Electronics

Climb the polished aluminum ladder from the cockpit to the expansive bridge. The layout and design of the flying bridge is excellent, with helm chairs set far enough aft to allow for a large U-shaped seating space complete with a hi-gloss teak table and great storage options. There is still enough room to comfortably walk behind the helm chairs and the aft rail rocket launcher. The large electronics dash raises electrically to reveal three brand-new 17-inch Garmin display screens. The aluminum for the ladder and hardtop frame is in excellent condition. Two teak ladderback helm chairs each have their own weather cover. The fiberglass hardtop features built-in LED overhead lighting.

Salon and Galley

The starboard-side lockable fiberglass salon door features a very large window. A large aft salon window opens to the cockpit. The carpeted floor is laid with a canvas runner and the headliner features LED lighting and teak overhead handrails. The main AC/DC breaker panel and remote generator controls are located here.

The port-side galley features Corian counters on teak bases, teak and holly floors, and teak cabinetry. Two undercounter refrigerator drawers and two undercounter freezer drawers provide cooling, with an undermounted galley sink featuring a combination spray head faucet. An electric stove and convection microwave oven complete the cooking facilities.

A blue leather L-shaped sofa with storage beneath anchors the salon, paired with a teak hi-low salon table. A starboard-side dinette features U-shaped blue leather seating with a Corian table on teak table leg. Overhead rod storage locker in the salon is a distinctive feature. Additional amenities include a drink ice maker, wall sconces, Bose surround sound speakers, wood blinds for all salon windows, Yamaha salon entertainment system, ICOM salon VHF radio, and a Vizio 44-inch flat screen TV.

Staterooms and Heads

Located down the stairs on the starboard side is the laundry space with stacked Malber washing machine and Bosch dryer behind teak doors.

The master stateroom is located at the bottom of the stairs on the port side. It features a queen-sized bed with storage beneath and full walkaround space, teak cabinetry, overhead lighting, dedicated HVAC units, stereo with overhead speakers, and a Sharp HDTV. The master head has private access and features a Corian counter with undermount sink, medicine cabinets with mirrored doors, Tecma electric flushing toilet, and a stand-up shower with bi-fold shower door.

The VIP guest cabin is forward in the vessel, with a full walkaround queen-sized bed mounted on a pedestal with storage beneath. Teak cabinetry includes large hanging lockers, and the headliner features overhead lighting. An overhead deck hatch, reading lamps, HVAC controls, Sharp AQUOS flat screen TV, and stereo are included. This cabin has private access into the guest head and shower.

The bunk room is along the starboard side of the hallway, with two side-by-side beds and a shared nightstand. Storage drawers are positioned under both beds. Reading lamps, stereo, large hanging locker, and Sharp AQUOS flat screen TV complete the space.

Engine and Mechanical Space

Twin Caterpillar C-18 engines (1,000 hp each) have just completed a major periodic 1,000-hour service. A 20-kw Kohler diesel-powered generator is installed. Additional mechanical systems include a Horizon reverse osmosis water maker, Reverso on-boat fuel polishing system, and Reverso oil changing system for both engines, generator, and both gears. Tides Marine dripless shaft seals are fitted. Battery charging is handled by a Victron Energy blue smart charger, MDP battery charger for engine batteries, and Vanner battery charger. Racor dual shift-on-the-fly primary fuel filters are installed for each engine.
