Riviera 45 Open Flybridge
Overview
About this vessel
Arguably one of Riviera's crowned and most popular models from the current century, the 45 Flybridge is built by Australians for Australians. With an enormous cockpit area, spacious and functional saloon, great accommodations and a seaworthy hull, the 45 is often the 'do-it-all' power vessel of choice! Big Blue benefits from a seemingly never-ending list of upgrades and highly specified features, most notably a SEAKEEPER GYRO STABILISER, BOW AND STERN THRUSTERS, TWIN CATERPILLAR C12 715HP DIESEL ENGINES, HIGH PRESSURE DECK WASH SYSTEM... AND MORE! This vessel has a great history of fastidious owners who benefitted the vessel through proper maintenance and continues upgrades... And it shows!
The saloon is wonderfully spacious with excellent vision out, providing a functional space for long-term stays or entertaining. A folding glass window to port of the main salon door is a unique feature to the 45 model and creates a fantastic feeling of alfresco style living, providing a better connection to the water and cockpit space. The saloon offers an abundance of seating with enough for at least 8 across two opposing L-shape settees, while a varnished timber dinette sits to starboard. Big Blue also features the rarely optioned footstool unit for added comfort. An upgraded Fusion sound system is controlled via a main head unit below the switch panel on the starboard side. The galley sits to port and features enormous, uncluttered Corian bench tops, 3 large fridge/freezer drawers, a dishwasher, large stainless steel sink, 2-burner electric cooktop and a convection microwave/oven. Below foot is a deep storage area and electrical/systems space.
The forward accommodation space is luxuriously appointed with three cabins, sleeping 6 and two full heads. The forward master stateroom features a double berth with excellent walk-around access, plenty of storage and a private ensuite head to port. This ensuite features a vacu-flush toilet, large vanity and basin and a spacious separate shower stall. The VIP-guest cabin sits to port and features a twin single berth configuration with plenty of storage and further access to the under floor electrical/systems and storage compartment. Across to starboard is a second heads compartment, featuring a vacu-flush toilet, vanity and basin and a large separate shower stall. A third guest cabin sits just forward, featuring a twin bunk configuration, while a convertible double berth in the saloon completes the accommodation for 8.
The large cockpit provides a terrific outdoor area for entertaining and water-based activities. Highly specified with a live bait tank, electric pot-hauler, bait board, central table and the hallmark Riviera fridge/freezer and sink unit forward. Arguably, Big Blue's headline feature lies below the cockpit in the spacious lazarette; a Seakeeper gyroscopic stabiliser. Well maintained with regular servicing, the addition of this unit makes this vessel uniquely versatile and usable in almost any sea states, whether at rest in a rolling anchorage or off the shelf trolling for big fish, this vessel can provide more comfort more of the time.
Up a set of moulded stairs is the large flybridge, wrapped in a set of Strata Glass and Vyback clears that present like new. The helm station is exceptionally well-equipped and feature a pair of Navigator full-back helm chairs. There is no shortage of electronics and equipment, featuring twin Raymarine Axiom touchscreen displays, integrated radar and autopilot, bow and stern thruster controls, a Muir windlass chain counter, remote spotlight and Caterpillar digital engine telemetry. A wireless Yacht Controller integrates both thrusters and the twin main engines for short-handed docking requirement. Accompanying the helm is a large lounge area forward with plenty of seating for 6 or so, plus a high-low dinette and infill, while a flybridge bar unit sits to starboard with a drinks fridge and sink.
The engine room can be accessed through the forward end of the cockpit and reveals an extremely clean and tidy space. Power comes from a pair of uprated Caterpillar C12's, producing 715hp a side, making Big Blue good for a fast sprint of 32 knots and a cruise of 24-26 knots! A Cummins Onan 11 Kw generator provides 240V power and presents in excellent condition. The engine room of Big Blue is practically spotless and has received regular and recent servicing and maintenance, supporting only the best systems.
On deck, Big Blue presents impeccably with a glossy hull and superstructure, wide side decks and large saloon windows. The foredeck houses a Brig rigid inflatable tender, fitted with a 30hp Honda four-stroke outboard, with easy launch and retrieval via an ADC electric 250kg crane.
Featuring uprated Caterpillar C12 engines with a high cruise speed, a Seakeeper gyroscopic stabiliser, upgraded electronics, new hard clears and more, this vessel is a true one of a kind! Presenting in near-perfect condition, this vessel is a fantastic opportunity to acquire a true turn-key example of Riviera's popular 45 Flybridge model with nothing left to do. Perfect for cruising with family and friends, or express cruising out to the most remote fishing grounds, Big Blue can do it all.
