Lucille is an exceptional Crowther 42 catamaran built for serious cruising and ocean adventures. Custom built by a marine engineer to an exceptionally high standard, this immaculately presented vessel combines strength, comfort, and complete self-sufficiency -- perfect for extended coastal or offshore cruising.

Lucille has been designed to go anywhere, with impressive systems throughout: 1400W of solar, two wind generators, a new Victron Multiplus 2 3000W inverter/charger (2025), and four 245Ah AGM batteries (new June 2025). She's also equipped with a watermaker, and the hardtop is cleverly designed to capture rainwater -- providing full independence wherever you drop anchor.

Her sail inventory is in excellent condition and includes Hydranet jib, genoa, and mainsail, along with screecher and asymmetrical spinnaker, all handled by Spectra halyards. The mast and standing rigging were fully replaced in 2018, giving complete peace of mind.

Boarding is easy from either side via wide transom steps with full stainless handrails. The generous rear deck features a central helm station with autopilot, Raymarine 12" Axiom display, and Interphase forward-looking sonar. There's also abundant underfloor storage and two dual-zone fridge/freezers neatly housed in the central locker -- all designed for practical, long-term cruising comfort.

Bifold doors open to a light and airy saloon, with galley to port, central dinette, and navigation and laundry areas to starboard. The builder cleverly modified the original design to provide extra headroom throughout both the saloon and hulls, enhancing the feeling of space.

Accommodation is comfortable and versatile, featuring four double cabins (forward and aft in each hull), plus an additional double berth conversion in the dinette. The starboard hull offers a separate head and shower, while the port side includes a combined wet head -- ideal for liveaboard convenience.

Constructed from Carbon Kevlar GRP foam sandwich from the hulls to the gunnels, Lucille is incredibly strong yet lightweight. Additional highlights include custom EVA foam decking, a rear deck shower, twin swim ladders, bait board station, multiple rod holders, and a freshwater flushing system for both engines.
