BEQUIA was conceived to cruise the world and win regattas along the way, and she's done both. Her cold-molded hull is composed of Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, and Sipo Mahogany, reinforced with biaxial fiberglass and West System epoxy. She features a shoal fin keel with a 43,000lb lead shoe, and a carbon fiber spade rudder for responsive handling. Her sail plan is engineered for performance: Southern Spars carbon masts and Future Fibers EC6 carbon standing rigging, serviced in 2025, support her up-to-date North Sails inventory for both racing and cruising. In-boom furling on both main and mizzen allow for efficient sail handling, and she can be sailed nearly singlehanded if desired.

In fall 2025, BEQUIA underwent a thorough round of technical service and upgrades to key systems. This included new house and engine starter batteries, replacement of all black and grey water sump pumps (including the macerator), and installation of a new air conditioning chiller and fan coil system. The fuel transfer pump was replaced, and the main salon furniture was reupholstered. Her masts and booms were fully disassembled and serviced, with high-load areas inspected using ultrasonic NDT (non-destructive testing) techniques. Cosmetic updates included localized paint touchups to the topsides.

Below deck, BEQUIA offers a warm, inviting interior that blends traditional New England style with practical seafaring design. Her pilothouse provides 360-degree views through finely proportioned windows, with surrounding lounges ideal for relaxing underway.
