Overview
About this vessel
Presenting Princess Jean, a 2011 Bavaria 45 Cruiser, a spacious offshore cruising yacht designed by renowned yacht designer Bruce Farr. The Bavaria 45 Cruiser is one of the most successful cruising yachts in her class, combining comfortable offshore capability, generous accommodation, and practical handling in a proven bluewater cruising platform.
Princess Jean is the highly desirable 4-cabin version, offering exceptional interior volume for family cruising, liveaboard ownership, or charter-style accommodation.
Previously operating within a Phuket charter fleet, the yacht was purchased by her current owners in 2025, who have since enjoyed cruising aboard her in Thailand and are now upgrading to a larger yacht.
Interior Layout
The Bavaria 45 is particularly well regarded for its spacious interior and practical cruising design. The layout offers excellent functionality for extended cruising and liveaboard life, with good natural light and ventilation throughout. Four double cabins, a large salon and dining area, dual refrigerators, separate freezer, gas stove with oven, microwave, water heater, rice cooker, toaster, and TV entertainment system are featured.
Sailing Performance & Rigging
The Bavaria 45 platform is known for safe, forgiving handling and comfortable passagemaking capability. A twin helm cockpit layout provides easy access to a swim platform and spacious cockpit for cruising and entertaining. Whether cruising locally around Phuket or undertaking longer offshore passages, Princess Jean offers a practical and capable sailing platform.
Diving & Adventure Equipment
One of the standout features aboard Princess Jean is the included diving setup, making her an excellent yacht for exploring Thailand's world-class cruising and dive destinations. The yacht is an excellent platform for dive cruising, island exploration, watersports adventures, and extended liveaboard cruising.
Recent Maintenance & Improvements
Since purchasing the yacht, the current owners have invested in a range of maintenance and improvement works including antifouling and hull polishing, hull stripe repainting, gelcoat repairs, window resealing, bilge pump system upgrades, gas detector system installation, fuel gauge and sensor replacement, electrical and wiring improvements, cooling system servicing and engine gasket works, and autopilot and Garmin display wiring corrections.
Structural Condition
A pre-purchase marine survey commissioned by the current owners in 2025 reported dry hull moisture readings with no osmosis detected, no structural hull or keel defects identified, and an engine operational during sea trial. As expected for a yacht with previous charter usage, some cosmetic wear and age-related maintenance items remain present in certain areas. However, Princess Jean represents an honest and capable offshore cruising yacht offering excellent value for buyers seeking a spacious cruising platform already located in Thailand.
