Cantiere Delle Marche Darwin 102
Overview
About this vessel
This 31.09m Expedition-type motor yacht was launched in 2015 in Italy and is hull #1 in the popular CANTIERE DELLE MARCHE DARWIN 102 series. She was custom-built for an experienced owner with a project manager on site for the duration of the entire build overseeing all aspects of the construction.
Built on a full-displacement steel hull with a beam of 7.43m and aluminium superstructure, this tri-deck explorer yacht boasts naval architecture and exterior design by the innovative Italian engineering firm Hydro Tec. The technical standards that have made CdM a benchmark in its sector have been maintained: 12mm steel hull, cupronickel piping, independent rudders, automatic generator parallel system, electric fins stabilizers, and wastewater treatment systems for black, gray, and bilge waters adapted from the industry of work ships and designed to be used 24/365.
After launching and delivery, she cruised extensively in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Mexico and the Pacific. She has been professionally maintained since new with a full-time crew and benefitted from a comprehensive refit in 2023. Besides technical service on main components, an extensive interior refitting created a convenient crew pantry on the main deck and turned the main salon into an extremely enjoyable space for dining and relaxing.
The owner focused on spending the majority of time outside and in the water. The lazarette area is a custom dive area with storage for tanks, masks, fins, and wetsuits. A quick connect dive tanks fill station on the swim platform and hydraulic dive platform allow easy access into the water. A 2-ton crane can launch a 6m+ tender.
She has a best-in-class sundeck with full bar, BBQ grill, Jacuzzi, lounge area and dining/sitting area. Both the aft deck and upper aft deck space have formal dining spaces with tables that seat up to 12 guests. Guests can also enjoy sunbathing on the foredeck or lounging on the sundeck.
The interiors are designed by Mexican interior architect Simon Hamui, able to give an explorer twist to salons and cabins thanks to a wise blend of liquidambar timber (also called sweetgum), hand-stitched leathers drawers and cabinets resembling vintage Louis Vuitton wardrobe trunks, antique brass faucets and an elegant choice of loose furniture. Both the main saloon and sky lounge have floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that can be completely moved to the side thus combining interior and exterior spaces into one. Inviting furniture, custom interior decor, brass fixtures, and large windows give her an inviting feel.
This tri-deck yacht comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests in en-suite 5 cabins plus crew accommodations in 4 cabins for 7 including a Captain's cabin on the upper deck behind the wheelhouse, which is rare for a 100ft yacht. The owner's cabin is forward on the lower deck, with 2 VIP cabins aft and 2 twin guest cabins amidships. The rest of crew cabins are located forward of the galley on the main deck.
She has been privately owned her entire life and is presented in turnkey condition.
