Overview
About this vessel
Originally launched as a premium, next-generation commercial fishing vessel by Extreme Marine, "Ohana" represents a rare convergence of heavy duty commercial engineering and refined luxury charter capability. "Ohana" was purpose-built as a robust Western Australian crayfishing vessel, designed to push industry benchmarks in fuel capacity, payload, accommodation and offshore performance. At 23.5 metres (77ft), she was the largest lobster vessel built at the time, reflecting Extreme Marine's commitment to strength, longevity and seaworthiness in demanding commercial environments.
Following her commercial service, significant investment has been made to comprehensively transform the vessel into the luxury charter platform she is today. This conversion has been executed without compromising the vessel's formidable commercial foundations, resulting in an exceptionally stable, capable and versatile asset that now presents a wide range of opportunities across the charter, tourism and commercial sectors, supported by excellent survey numbers.
Powered by twin MTU 8V 2000 engines and supported by dual Kohler 30 kVA generators, the vessel comfortably runs all onboard systems and guest amenities. A comprehensive Furuno electronics suite with MaxSea TimeZero, VHF and SSB radios ensures professional-grade navigation and communication, while an electric bow thruster enhances control during close-quarters manoeuvring. Starlink WiFi keeps guests and crew connected throughout extended operations.
Designed with guest comfort and entertainment in mind, the vessel offers a spacious, open-plan aft deck featuring dining, a large lounge area, a custom-built outdoor bar with seating and a commercial BBQ, creating an ideal social space underway or at anchor. Two sunbeds are positioned to the rear deck, with additional sunbeds accessible on the bow, offering multiple areas for guests to lounge whilst cruising. The galley is air-conditioned and exceptionally well-equipped with extensive refrigeration, stove-top, oven, microwave, Zip hot water tap, ample dry storage and a dedicated chest freezer room.
Accommodation is configured to support crew use, extended day operations and commercial activities, comprising three double berths and two single berths across two cabins, with air-conditioning throughout. Additional features such as a premium Bluetooth sound system, washer/dryer, swim platform and onboard crane further elevate the vessel, presenting a well-equipped, turnkey option for luxury charter operations.
