False Cape is a turn-key 25 Ranger Tug, just serviced, bottom painted and made ready for her next owner.
Powered by a Volvo D-3 150 (150 hp Diesel engine) just treated to a major service. The engine was removed in Spring 2026 and completely serviced with new motor mounts, oil pan, oil cooler, timing belt, idler, tensioner, raw water impeller, crankcase filter, serpentine belt, and air filter. New PSS Dripless shaft seal has been installed. Fluids and filters were replaced, bilge completely cleaned, and engine alignment performed. The bottom was cleaned and repainted, running gear was cleaned and repainted, and new zincs installed.
The Volvo Digital engine gauge shows fuel burn info. At 8 mph the boat achieves 5 mpg; on plane she runs easily at 15 mph.
Featuring a Diesel Powered generator (Mase 2.7kw). Completely heated and air conditioned with a reverse cycle heating/air conditioning system and Heater Craft heater system that uses the closed loop cooling system of the engine to heat the cabin when desired.
Navigation and communication equipment includes Garmin 7212 full color touch screen (Radar/GPS/Plotter/Fish finder), Garmin Autopilot, and Garmin VHF Radio with AIS. Remote spotlight and Fusion Marine Stereo are also installed.
Bow and stern thrusters provide easy, stress-free docking. Electric anchor windlass with helm and foredeck controls. Folding down flat screen TV.
The cabin offers 6'4" of interior head room. Master cabin forward with dinette table that converts into a sleeper. A small quarter berth sleep/storage space is located beneath the dinette. Enclosed head and shower with toilet, stainless steel sink, hot and cold shower, medicine cabinet and ample storage. Multiple hatches and operable port lights for fresh air.
Full galley with stainless steel sink with spray head, 12v DC powered undercounter refrigerator with freezer, electric/alcohol cooktop stove, ample counter and cabinet space, and 6 gallon hot water tank.
Transom door and full beam swim platform with pull-out ladder. Full cockpit bimini top. Covers for all pilothouse windows. Paddle board rack on the top.
Included dinghy: 2020 Newport 8'10" inflatable dinghy with 4 stroke 4hp Suzuki outboard.
The 25 Ranger is trailerable: beam is 8'6", and with the mast in the down position, the trailered height is 11'11".
