2016 Incat 17m Cruising Ketch for sale in HOBART, Tasmania

Incat 17m Cruising Ketch GWENHWYFAR, 2016 model, designed and built by Incat Tasmania. Aluminium expedition yacht, ketch rigged with pilot house and centre cockpit, rigged for shorthanded sailing. The vessel features daggerboards for greater windward performance and sleeps 7.

Sail plan comprises main, mizzen, genoa and staysail by Steve Walker Sails, with rig by Almasts. All sails feature 3 reefs in main and mizzen, genoa on roller furling, and staysail on hanks on removable inner forestay. Sail locker, lazarette and engine room are in their own watertight compartments so no wetness or smells enter main living areas.

Sea berths feature lee cloths, with 2 sea berths angled so level when sailing heeled. Skipper chairs are fitted in both pilot house and cockpit. Inside and outside hydraulic steering and controls are provided throughout.

The vessel is well-appointed for cruising, with a 2.6m Ultralite aluminium dinghy stowed on deck and Torqueedo outboard with 2 batteries. Power systems include 3 x 220 Ah house batteries and 1 x 120 Ah starter battery on separate circuits, with 220A engine-driven alternator for house batteries and 80A alternator for starter battery. Fresh water storage comprises 2 x 700l polyethylene tanks. Water ballast system includes 2 midship tanks at 1000l each and 2 aft tanks at 500l each.

Heating and hot water provided by Webasto diesel heater with 5 outlets and 50 litre hot water tank (240V or engine). Shore power connected through isolation transformer with combination charger/inverter 2300w.

Hull structure built to DNV HSLC Rules and designed to NSCV code. The vessel features 5 watertight bulkheads (including crash bulkhead), 4 watertight doors, polyethylene tube chain locker with overboard discharge, and 4 Johnson bilge pumps. Safety equipment includes 3 fire extinguishers and 3 zinc hull anodes plus prop anode.

Accommodation includes 240V washing machine and composting toilet in head, shower and handbasin, and Wallas diesel stovetop and oven in galley. Isotherm fridge and freezer fitted. Fresh water pump and accumulator provided.
