Overview
About this vessel
This vessel has been extensively modified to accommodate disabled crew and operators. A FEM carbon fibre crane is mounted on the port deck with a lifting and slewing capacity of 150kg, controlled via both handheld and cockpit-mounted controls. The crane enables access from pontoon or hard standing to the cockpit and port side deck, access to engine rooms via Dyneema rope and pulley, and access to the coach roof and mast with crew assistance.
A tail lift and swim platform with remote control and cockpit switch lowers into the sea for water access. Two 2.5m ramps are stowed on the aft beam for side access, and two short ramps accommodate stern access for Mediterranean mooring. The platform includes a dinghy lift and pass-through for wheelchairs, with a special dinghy seat for engine control.
The cockpit features raised floors with 200mm elevation and 10-degree sloping ramps, extra cleats for mooring, and a removable helming seat. Wheelchair stabilisers employ a proven non-tipping system tested in 6m seas. The galley and cockpit helmstation have been adapted for knee clearance.
A port side electric lift with three control panels provides access to the owner's cabin. The cabin sole is raised 200mm for easier bed access. The desk and wardrobe have been removed to create additional space, and the wardrobe has been converted to accommodate a wash hand basin and fluid bowl. The head and shower are not currently accessible but are modifiable.
