About this vessel
MR is one of the last build of the highly popular Beneteau Oceanis 48, launched by our team in Barcelona, during May 2018. She is set up with all the equipment needed for self-sufficient, luxurious, blue water cruising. She is maintained to the highest standards and an inspection of the vessel and all its equipment will not disappoint. The owners enjoyed a season in the MED before crossing the Atlantic in the ARC to the Caribbean later in 2018. They spent time in the Caribbean and the East coast of the US before Covid halted their cruising plans. The vessel was then shipped to Australia in 2021 to her home port in Lake Macquarie where the owners have spent time leisurely sailing on the lake and running skippered/catered day sailing experiences.
The factory fitted items fitted over and above the comprehensive standard specification include the beautiful light grey gel coat (polished March 2024), upgraded exclusive package with electric halyard winch, deep keel, updated Yanmar 80HP common rail sail drive diesel engine, 3 blade folding propellor, the updated 3 cabin 2 head layout in light satin oak, Onan 6KVA generator, air conditioning, Dessalator 60 LPH water maker, bimini, dodger, teak cockpit flooring, B&G instrumentation with 7 inch plotters at each helm, autopilot, radar, dual station VHF, AIS, 4G radar, additional 200L fuel tank, deck wash pump, code zero, in mast furling, microwave, deluxe folding saloon table, windlass control in the cockpit, leather upholstery, and 2000W inverter.
During commissioning and following the initial launch there were a number of items added including a Selden spinnaker pole with topping lift and down haul, a comprehensive blue water safety gear package approved to do the 2018 ARC Atlantic crossing, Iridium Go sat phone, Echomax Radar reflector, soft/Dyneema luff storm jib, 4 flexible solar panels sewn into the bimini with 2 Victron smart controllers, oversized Mantus 38kg anchor with 100m of 12mm chain, spare anchor and chain, custom stainless steel outboard lifting system, upgraded battery monitor, gas detector, washing machine and so much more.
Once imported into Australia MR has been constantly updated including an extensive upgrade for AMSA survey requirements, new radar, new VHF, Lithium house battery bank, galvanic isolator, polarity isolator and servicing where needed. Antifouled January 2024 with sail drive serviced. In brilliant condition, In survey, Australian registered, lying in Lake Macquarie on a berth, this Oceanis 48 is the complete package ready for new owners to step on and enjoy.
