Overview
About this vessel
Constructed in Bundaberg by Coral Coast Marine and designed by Australian award-winning designer Andrew McDonald Smith, Solace is an extremely capable and efficient long-range cruiser.
At 20.50 m length plus Z bows with a 6.55 m beam, this alloy catamaran has a massive volume with plenty of deck space perfect for fishing the reefs or lounging around the islands. Coral Coast builds a hull that is extremely strong while being very fuel efficient. This custom Coral Coast has been finished and maintained to the highest level and has several redundancy systems.
Solace has been designed as a comfortable luxurious long-range cruiser for exploring wherever you wish. She sleeps 6 in comfort in 3 double rooms with 3 full bathrooms. With 10,000 L of fuel this gives a massive range with exceptional fuel economy at 10 knots. It is easily manageable by a couple. With 4 easy to use helm stations including bow thrusters, upstairs and downstairs helms with wing stations that help give excellent visibility. The Portuguese flybridge provides easy access to the foredeck while still retaining an easy-to-use staircase and great 360 degree vision.
Its current owners have enjoyed cruising the Queensland coast including a trip to the Kimberley's. It has been fastidiously maintained and is ready for its next adventure.
With its 6.55 m beam, the vessel has a large volume compared to a monohull of equivalent size, with a relatively shallow draft and a protected shaft design. The oversized cockpit can be easily adapted for entertaining or fishing.
The large beam provides a very usable living area with a large open plan kitchen which gives the saloon a very airy feel. Corian bench tops with custom oak finishes make the kitchen a pleasure to use while passage making. There is extensive storage space with plenty of internal cupboards and drawers, a full-sized pantry, and a full walk around deck with easy access to a huge front bow area. Lounge upon bean bags and watch the stars, sunbake or host a party on this extensive entertaining area.
The fully air-conditioned enclosed flybridge provides plenty of protection when travelling and provides an extra lounge area or teenage retreat if needed. There is easy access to the flybridge rear deck to the large tender and crane. There is room for a second tender on the rear platform that is also in reach of the tender crane.
It would be perfect for extended cruising or living aboard. For the longer stays there is a washing machine and dryer.
