‘Alliance’ is a Dehler 30 OD listed exclusively for sale with YOTI on Sydney Harbour. Launched in 2020 and offered for sale by her first owner, this is an opportunity to step into a race ready option in near new condition.
The Dehler 30 One Design by Judel / Vrolijk is clearly targeted at shorthanded sailing. No big crew numbers are needed here, and our growing two-handed divisions are ideal for this pocket rocket. This is cutting edge design with the package featuring water ballast (to 200L each side), hard chines, scow bow, twin rudders (proper - not hung off the transom), fixed bow sprit, carbon mast, and the impressive ‘Stealth Drive’ retracting shaft and propeller.
The sail wardrobe by Norths consists of 3Di square top main and Medium jib (jib is reefable), furling inner-jib (staysail doubling as a storm jib), furling Code 55 (think Code 0 but flatter for pointing higher), plus A2 and A5. Instrumentation is by B&G with Zeus plotter, Triton displays, AIS, and of course a real linear drive auto-pilot.
The space down below is well thought out, practical, and refreshingly well finished – this is a place you’d be happy to spend time off watch. There are good sized quarter berths, a real marine toilet (with a door and holding tank), galley space with single burner stove, and ample sail storage. The battery is lithium, and all systems are logically laid out and easy to access.
The Dehler 30OD with keep you smiling both in and offshore. While this is a genuine shorthanded racer, she’s also a boat you’d be happy to take non-sailing friends out for a spin around the Harbour and even cruise overnight with the kids. This is an exhilarating fun machine with speed the name of the game all in an economical 30-foot package.
