About this vessel
This 2021 model Dehler 42 is available to view by appointment at our Hamble Point office. In her first ownership and delivered with a great specification to maximise both fast cruising comfort and fun racing ability.
The vessel features a GRP vacuum infused hull for additional strength and better resin consolidation without additional weight, and a carbon reinforced subframe structure. The white gelcoat hull with grey hull striping is complemented by a GRP deck with balsa core and non-slip finish. The cast iron T-shaped keel with low centre of gravity and semi-balanced rudder with solid aluminium shaft and self-aligning bearings ensure excellent sailing characteristics. The hull has been coppercoat treated from new.
The interior features a sought-after 3 cabin and 1 head layout with light Oak interior, dark Noce Nero flooring and black quartz galley surface. Eberspacher heating is installed throughout with a complete blind set and LED lighting upgrade. The saloon includes U-shaped seating around the saloon table on the starboard side and bench seating on the port side with storage drawers underneath. The L-shaped galley on the starboard side includes a gas oven and hob, a large 135-litre fridge, twin sinks with mixer tap, and various cupboards, drawers and lockers. The navigation station features a table with sliding function to create larger bench seating. The forward cabin has a large semi-island bed with wardrobe storage on both sides, whilst the two aft cabins are double berths with wardrobe storage in each. The heads include a large shower cubicle on the port side and an upgraded freshwater flush toilet with holding tank.
The boat is equipped with an upgraded 40hp engine, bow thruster with dedicated battery, and electric winch with upgraded manual winches. The rig includes a Selden 2 spreader keel-stepped mast with Dyform rigging, Selden electric furler for forestay, backstay adjuster, and Selden rodkicker vang. A carbon whisker pole with mast storage is included, along with Dyneema main and jib halyards and Dyneema spinnaker sheets. The sail wardrobe is extensive, including Quantum TP6 performance cruising main and jib, Quantum asymmetric gennaker with snuffer, lightweight asymmetric spinnaker, and Sanders Carbon/Aramid film on film racing main with J2 and J3.5 headsails.
Navigation is provided by a full B&G suite, including 2 x B&G Zeus 3S chart plotters at the helm positions, 2 x B&G Triton displays, B&G V60 VHF with H60 handheld unit, B&G Autopilot system with Precision 9 compass, B&G Nemesis 9 display at companionway pod, and B&G AIS transponder. Antennae for VHF, AIS and FM/AM are fitted, along with a compass at each helm.
Deck equipment includes a 12v anchor windlass with wired remote control, 60m stainless chain with Lewmar Delta anchor, 2 x Lewmar 45 RACE halyard winches (starboard electric), 2 x Lewmar 50 RACE genoa winches, 2 x Lewmar 50 RACE mainsheet winches, and 2 x Spinlock Jammer banks. Multiple Lewmar flush hatches, cockpit lockers and lazarettes are provided. Genoa tracks with adjustable towable cars, a cockpit table with stainless steel frame and teak leaves (newly refinished), Flexiteek cockpit bottom, seat benches, coachroof and bathing platform complete the deck. A composite black steering wheel, instrument pod on coachroof, side gates for guardwires, composite bow sprit with integrated anchor roller, and 6 x retractable mooring cleats round out the equipment.
The electrical system comprises a 12v system and 230v system with shore power and electrical sockets internally. 2 x 160ah AGM domestic batteries, 1 x 90ah engine start battery, and a dedicated bow thruster battery are installed, along with a battery charger, 12v switch panel at the chart table, and a galvanic isolator. Audio visual equipment includes a Fusion RA70N stereo headunit with 2 x internal speakers and 2 x external speakers.
Canvas work includes a dark grey sprayhood, cockpit table cover, maindrop system, and cockpit cushions. Safety equipment comprises a gas alarm, jackstay lifelines, horseshoe buoy with light, and fire extinguishers. Additional equipment includes winch handles, winch handle pockets, fenders, and warps.
