Overview
About this vessel
If you are looking for a quality boat capable of being trailered behind the average family car, that is both fun to sail and will allow you the options of overnighting then look no further. 'Tike' is a pristine example of such a craft and comes with a fully braked road trailer. Built by Demon Yachts to an Andrew Wolstonholme design, she will delight and inspire in equal measure.
This is a gaff rigged yacht with lead ballast centre board and carbon spars. Built to a very high standard above and below decks. Vessel is powered by an E-Propulsion electric outboard. The drive part is fixed and will drop through the hull bottom and raises when sailing so that there is no drag. 6 See picture. The Battery is removable and can be recharged either at home or on board by attaching shore power. The is a highly efficient system and will provide many hours of good motoring between charges.
There are 2 batteries on board. One is the aforementioned E-Propulsion battery for the engine and the other is a 12V lithium domestic battery. There is onboard charging for both with dedicated battery chargers for each system. There are USB, 12V and 240V sockets so all electrical scenarios are catered for.

'Tike' is a great family day sailor. Her big appeal for me was the ability to sail her safely single handed and the ease of taking her to new venues and home in the Winter. She can be launched easily without getting the trailer wheels wet. The boat is also highly competitive at Club level racing.
