About this vessel
The Rayglass Legend 2500 is New Zealand's most awarded boat and is widely regarded as one of the country's most popular boats under 8 metres. This 2023 example is kept in excellent condition and is currently held in the Tamaki Marine park dry stack.
This is a very high specification version that has been set up for fishing but can also comfortably double as a weekender. Fitted with twin Mercury 300hp V8 engines with joystick control, it is a powerful yet maneuverable package. The boat is currently running Sharrow props, which add to the performance and improve economy; the original props are also included.
The helm features an upgraded Simrad electronics package with a 16" MFD, radar, trim tabs, VHF, chain counter, Fusion stereo and a sports steering wheel.
The cabin is well fitted out with a double bed with infill, removable bunk, galley with fridge and freezer, 2 burner cooker, sink and tap, and a separate fully enclosed electric toilet. There is also an extra portable 35L fridge and freezer in the starboard cockpit seat.
The self-draining cockpit is equipped with multiple fishing rod holders and drink holders. A 2 row rocket launcher is mounted on the cabin top for rod storage. A plumbed live bait tank is fitted, and there are 2 large under floor drainable storage bins.
The transom features custom tackle drawers along with Rayglass's custom removable bait board, which also has an infill for filleting. A stainless steel BBQ with mount is also installed.
This is a very versatile boat suited for fishing, weekend trips away, or exploring and relaxing.
