Overview
The N625 "Molly B" is based on the very popular Nordhavn 60 and employs some of the same production techniques being used with other similarly sized models.
Nordhavn co-owner and Chief of Design Jeff Leishman saw an opportunity to further improve the N60 model's proven hull. It has sustained extraordinary success beginning with the Nordhavn 55, and is also used as the basis of the Nordhavn 63. The result is a fresh, modern exterior that's keeping with the sleeker feel that has been injected into the latest models.
The N625 maintains the same footprint as the N60, but also feels entirely different: the flybridge is slightly more spacious, the windows in the cabins are larger, and there's additional seating on the foredeck. It feels lighter and brighter and gives a sense of a bigger boat, even though size-wise, it's nearly identical. Like the N60 and N63 before her, the N625 has three cabins - two below and one behind the wheelhouse.
General Exterior
The exterior of the Nordhavn 625 "Molly B" is very well thought out for ease of use, access and maintenance. Starting at the bow, the foredeck is simple with access to the anchor well, windlass and bow pulpit. A unique new feature are the molded settees in the bow of the Portuguese bridge. This is a great place to sit and relax. Aft of the foredeck is the well-protected Portuguese bridge with Bosun's storage lockers and a starboard wing control station. Aft on the port side is access to the boat deck and flybridge, and aft on the starboard side are stairs leading down to the lower cockpit area. The boat deck is equipped with a 1500-pound capacity Steelhead telescoping davit for lifting the tender. There are FRP deck boxes for extra storage here as well. Up a short staircase is the flybridge. The flybridge is a great vantage point with 360 degree views. There is a main settee with an FRP fixed table and a secondary settee off to the starboard side. The flybridge is covered by an FRP hardtop with integrated lighting and speakers. Mounted at the flybridge helm are two Pompanette helm chairs.
Downstairs is the cockpit location. This deck is equipped with access to the lazarette, a built-in BBQ console with an electric BBQ and a watertight door to the salon. Here in the cockpit there is a control station for maneuvering and/or docking. Access to the dock from the cockpit is through the aft boarding door onto the extended swimstep or through the boarding door down the port side walk way. This is such a comfortable space for just lounging around or entertaining guests.
