All sail controls are reachable from the cockpit, and an adjustable backstay helps flatten sails in gusts. The boat can be sailed with one hand on the tiller and one on the mainsheet. It performs well even under mainsail alone, allowing you to sail on days when others might decide to stay ashore.

The cockpit is very comfortable, comparable to larger models in the J-range. The walk-through swim platform at the transom is an added benefit for hanging out and swapping between fun and sailing.

The boat uses composite sandwich construction with E-glass and Corecell foam core, along with high density inserts for deck hardware, drawing on 45+ years of experience from the J range in institutional use.
