Alpha Catamarans out of Sarasota, Florida are building high-speed passenger catamarans one at a time. The hull is a true ocean-going, Subchapter T, US Coast Guard Certified Passenger Catamaran rated for the "Ocean" class. Hull #1 (sold) is pictured and is powered with twin Mercury 150s. The hull is rated for up to four (Quad) 600hp Mercury engines for a total of 2,400hp if you desire to get your passengers there in a hurry. Endless options available from our design team including a second story with controls, passenger bench seating, and more.
Our "Standard" C.O.I. vessel is designed and manufactured as a much stronger aluminum catamaran and is the higher standard for the upgraded rating for "Ocean" C.O.I. The overhead custom canopy covers approximately two-thirds of the deck, allowing the bow area open for sunning. Other style roof available. Motors are installed and the vessel is totally rigged (Turn-Key). The vessel has been launched in Sarasota Bay, FL, Coast Guard tested & inspected, with completed sea trial & C.O.I.
Hull & Deck: Anti-skid on front deck and walkways, 40" tall aluminum perimeter railings with 4" maximum spacing within the railing, four boarding gates. Perimeter seating includes storage within.
Double Decker Options: To be built in the same 14' x 24' location in lieu of the standard canvas canopy. It will be an all welded structure and then welded directly to the aluminum decking. The upper deck features 40" tall aluminum perimeter railings with 4" maximum spacing within the railing, one lockable gate on each side (operable to open for jumping into the water), and an access ladder to the upper deck mounted at the bow area at the center. A 12' water slide is mounted in the center stern area of the upper deck, with a dedicated waterslide pump sending seawater to the top of the slide for ease of sliding. The passengers will slide to enter the water past and between the motors area.
