About this vessel
AMETHYST is a Coast Guard Inspected Vessel. Currently hauled out at Bay Marine Richmond for topsides and bottom paint (April 2026).
The vessel is USCG certified as a 100-mile boat and licensed to carry up to 42 passengers. In 2020, Amethyst underwent a major mechanical retrofit, including the installation of new Volvo Penta D8 engines paired with ZF transmissions with trolling valves, significantly improving reliability, efficiency, and performance for charter operations.
Previously operating as Seabass, and before that as a commercial tuna vessel, the boat benefits from a robust commercial build. One of the lazarettes remains insulated and configured as a fish cooler, ideal for high-capacity fishing trips.
