About this vessel
Dazzler underwent a complete keel-up restoration and refit in 2008. The hull planks were refastened with 7,800 marine grade fasteners and coated with West Systems Epoxy inside and out. Major systems were entirely renewed: two new Crusader engines with two new Velvet Drive transmissions, new fuel tanks, new water tank, new wiring throughout, and new vac-u-flush head with holding tank. The interior features new mahogany decks, rails, and interior joinery. New instruments and steering were installed, along with six electric fan blowers and new thru-hull fittings. The galley was completely rebuilt with new refrigerator, sink, blender, and push-button bar. Deck fittings, ground tackle, rod holders, and cleats were all new. A teak swim step was added, along with four exhaust mufflers and under-deck sound insulation. Underwater lights and a new fresh water washdown in the cockpit were added. A large day icebox sits in the cockpit. All windows were replaced, upholstery renewed, and new full boat canvas installed. New stainless steel engine mounts were added. Essentially all parts of the boat were replaced or redone during the 2008 restoration.
