About this vessel
MovinOn is hull number one of the acclaimed Nordhavn 43 series, a model developed in the wake of the groundbreaking 2000-2001 Nordhavn 40 circumnavigation. Designed as a worthy successor to the legendary Nordhavn 46, the N43 was built with the serious passagemaker in mind—an ideal two-stateroom, two-head trawler purpose-built for owner-operators seeking comfort and autonomy on long-distance voyages.
With her striking profile, MovinOn stands out thanks to her flybridge and dual stabilization systems, including paravanes and NAIAD active fins. Redundancy is a theme throughout—twin propulsion systems (Lugger main engine with dry stack exhaust and a Yanmar wing engine), backup electrical systems (AGM batteries with inverter and charger), and generous fuel capacity that delivers an impressive range for extended cruising.
Onboard comfort is equally prioritized. A Northern Lights generator and air conditioning support livability, while refrigeration is provided by Sub-Zero and Vitrifrigo units. Laundry is handled by a Splendide combo washer/dryer, and a high-capacity watermaker keeps freshwater topped up for extended time offshore.
The entry-level saloon and galley area are welcoming and well-appointed. Large windows brighten the space, with settees on both sides offering storage below. A custom teak dining table is the centerpiece. The galley is intelligently laid out with a propane stove/oven, microwave, trash compactor, and abundant storage.
The pilothouse, accessed via a short staircase, is a hub of navigation and comfort. A Stidd helm chair faces a thoughtfully arranged dash of navigation and communications equipment. A settee and watch berth aft make this a prime space for both command and company. Dutch doors to port and starboard provide direct access to the decks.
Below, accommodations include a forward guest stateroom with three berths and a shared head, while the midship owner's suite—located in the vessel's most stable area—features an island berth, ensuite head with separate shower, and ample storage.
The engine room is accessed from the owner's cabin and offers excellent headroom and maneuverability for inspections and maintenance. The lazarette, entered via the cockpit, houses steering gear, batteries, watermaker, inverter, and more.
Outside, MovinOn continues to impress. A custom extended swim platform makes boarding easy, while the cockpit provides access from three sides and includes a freshwater shower, storage, and rod holders. The side deck leads to the Portuguese bridge and foredeck, where ground tackle is easily managed via a robust Maxwell windlass and Bruce anchor. The boat deck, accessed via steps on the port side, includes a Highfield RIB with Honda outboard, paravane rig, and electric boom winches.
Up top, the flybridge offers dual helm chairs, a folding Bimini, and full navigation and engine controls for commanding the vessel in fair weather.
Over four winter layups, MovinOn underwent extensive maintenance, repairs, improvements, and upgrades totaling over $350,000. She has new appliances, the latest electronics, and all her systems have been upgraded to original or better than original condition. The vessel is fresh out of the shipyard where every system was serviced or upgraded. The main engine and generator completed their 1,000-hour service. The watermaker received new membranes and full servicing. She is ready for serious cruising.
