12.2m Pelin Challenger twin station, shaft drive launch. Strongly built in 2/3 skin Kauri glassed by Rotorua Little Ships, approximately 1980.
Great accommodation with 6 berths: 2 forward, 2 side bunks, saloon double, and roomy head/shower. Spacious saloon with sliding windows and good galley featuring 4-burner gas oven/grill, comprehensive fridge/freezer, and plenty of storage. Covered cockpit with through transom and boarding platform.
Approximately 1996 310hp Hino engine with 4288 hours, giving 10 knot cruise with maximum 13 knots.
A solid, large-volume, well-equipped launch of the ever-popular Challenger design. After years of fishing, the vendors used this as their floating holiday apartment, which they no longer require. Great for fishing, diving, and cruising. The big volume could also make a good liveaboard. Ideal for someone to tidy up and add value.
Recent maintenance includes new turbo (June 2023), antifouling and propeller work (June 2023), and reconditioned injectors and pump (approximately 5 years ago).
