About this vessel
A 1987 Profilmarine Cherokee 35 motorboat completely refitted in 2021 and 2022 with invoices and photographs of all works carried out.
The vessel has undergone comprehensive engine restoration with both engines brought to zero hours at boarding in August 2022. Extensive 2021 engine overhaul included disembarkation and boarding of engines, casing and grinding of cylinder liners, replacement of main bushings and connecting rods, head grinding, overhaul of sea water pumps, replacement of fresh water pumps, revision of injectors and diesel pumps, turbine overhaul, overhaul of heat exchangers and intercoolers, replacement of thermostatic valves and alternators, replacement of service belts, flexible coupling, air filters, diesel hand pumps, engine oil and filters, motor anodes and brass caps, starter motor checks, sensor replacements, partial overhaul of Twindisc inverters, replacement of water hoses, and two-component paint application with anti-rust primer.
The 2022 engine overhaul included disembarkation and boarding of engines, heads replacement, head grinding, diesel pump bench calibration, engine oil and filter replacements, impeller replacement, motor anodes and brass caps replacement, handcrafted 316 stainless steel drain risers, service belt replacement, right engine alternator replacement, turbine intake helicoil installation, replacement of all stainless steel clamps, replacement of blue silicone hoses, turbine blue silicone sleeves, elimination of analogue tachometer, rebuilding of engine wiring, sensor replacements, two-component paint application with contrasting white lettering, coolant system washing, engine operation bench test, and valve clearance checks.
Engine room refitting included engine compartment painting with two-component light gray paint, grinding of axles, rudders and propellers, installation of Volvo type axle seals, replacement of accelerator cables and inverters, handcrafted 316 stainless steel tailpipes, replacement of sea cocks and engine ball valves, replacement of Bennett flap pistons, battery holder installation, custom four-blade propellers, handcrafted direct discharge line in stainless steel, mahogany exhaust line supports, RINA approved exhaust hoses, stainless steel sludge box flange, stainless steel sea drains for bilge pumps, hydraulic piston replacement for engine room doors with mahogany reinforcements, and LED ceiling light installation.
The vessel is equipped with extensive electronics and electrical systems including a Raymarine Axiom 7DV GPS with sounder probe and flush mounting kit, Raymarine RD68 VHF, plotter and instrumentation cooling system with thermostat and three fans, VDO fuel gauge and fresh water level sensors, turbine pressure instruments with teak aesthetic frame, battery voltmeters, engine warning lights and alternator charging lights, Bosch ignition locks, USB sockets and cigarette lighters throughout, LED conversion of all light points with new LED stainless steel navigation lights, underwater lights with recessed side lights in Maiora style, audio system with Pioneer Bluetooth radio, six speakers, subwoofer and six-channel amplifier, Italwinch 700W winch with chain counter tool, Victron 30A smart charger with three outputs, galvanic isolator, battery distributors and switches, and multiple Seaflo bilge pumps with automatic float operation.
Carpentry work included driver's seat with aluminum telescopic pole and adjustable slide, stern platform disassembly and reassembly, retractable stainless steel ladder, diesel tank cleaning, replacement of all plumbing ball valves, replacement of stainless steel side cleats and bow handles, windshield frame sandblasting and painting, replacement of windscreen and hatch glass with smoked polycarbonate, replacement of all internal and external taps, plumbing system upgrades with three-way ball valves and expansion tank, bilge and locker painting, Tessilmare rudder assembly with stainless steel cap, side polishing, installation of Plastimó offshore compass, toilet bowl replacement, sacrificial anode replacement, diesel decanter filters installation, and stainless steel flag holder with teak flag pole.
Upholstery includes external cushions in beige, driver's seat upholstery, camper boat cover in beige fabric, cockpit side wall paneling, Alcantara and sky cladding throughout cabin and bathroom interior, decorative cushions in white and light blue Alcantara, custom convertible bed cushions, made-to-measure sheets, under-deck hatch covers, console cover, and shockproof headband cover.
Joinery work features painted laminate console panels, console storage in mahogany, teak driver seat profile, teak console strips and perimeter framing, teak panels for wheelhouse inspection, console cup holders, ignition lock panels, thermostat panels, cockpit wall panels in okoumé plywood with teak perimeter, diesel tank compartment flooring, beach and side lockers, customized mahogany cup holders with stainless steel inserts, okoumé and mahogany dinette bed conversion panels, teak cabin panel frame, refrigerator door lining with teak trim, underdeck storage door covering, cabin and bathroom storage compartment floors in grouted mahogany, teak toilet paper holder, and front bed profile cover panels in cherry wood. Floor covering restoration in grouted mahogany in the cabin is to be completed.
