About this vessel
This pristine 34' True North OB Express is an all-climate, go-anywhere, do-everything boat that combines timeless good looks, outstanding performance, spacious interior, and an impeccable reputation. Only 185 engine hours with warranties to June 2027, it shows in truely pristine condition.
The exceptional efficiency, speed, maneuverability, and shallow draft of the semi-displacement hull is powered by twin 300 horsepower outboards offering incredible efficiency and low ownership cost compared to inboard engines. The hydraulic outboard jack plate will get you into very shallow areas and will lift the engine completely out of the water when stored.
The versatile cockpit will entertain friends and family for a day, or just the two of you for a long weekend away. The forward cabin is arranged with a large island berth, air-cond/heat, a roomy head, big overhead hatches and lots of storage.
Design Makes the Difference. The Outboard Express performs exceptionally well on flat water in fair weather. But its unique ability to handle rough weather and stormy sea conditions is one of the many elements that sets this boat apart. The sharp, plumb bow slices through the waves instead of pounding on top of them when the seas build. The hull's balanced displacement and flatter aft sections deliver a rock-solid ride in virtually all weather conditions. And since the hull design is inspired by boats that work all year long in all sorts of conditions, you won't miss a day on the water (or be stranded in port) when the weather takes a turn for the worst.
A Social Boat. Boats can bring people together better than any other activity. Eating and socializing with friends and family is more than half the fun. All current True North owners agree that one of the most popular features of the boat's "open concept" interior is the "galley-up" configuration, and the Outboard Express is no different. Serious cooks love the large and well-equipped galley and everybody loves being up in the center of the action.
Construction. The highlights begin with a vinylester skin coat on the entire hull for blister resistance. The structure continues with low shrink DCPD resin and biaxial, triaxial, and quadraxial fibers in an optimized lamination schedules that meets both ABS and CE ISO specifications for strength. Above the waterline, balsa core is employed for stiffness and weight savings. While below the waterline the hull is solid quadraxial fiberglass for bulletproof strength and impact resistance. A full composite grid is created with taylored cores with variable densities as needed. The transom is reinforced with structural urethane core, commonly referred to as "Transom Board", a high density, glas fiber composite panel. The decks and other molded parts follow similar lamination techniques with adjustments for strength, lightness and stiffness as required. The engineering goal of True North is to create a vessel of exceptional quality, durability and value: and to continue a well earned reputation for being able to handle even the roughest sea conditions. The new True North is a modern composite yacht with a structure optimized for a safe cruising vessel.
Made in the USA. The True North 34 Outboard Express is built by highly experienced craftsmen in Largo, Florida, and is the brainchild of boat builders who have a distinguished record of helping to create some of the most successful powerboats and sailboats of the last 25 years. The combined boat-building experience of the True North team is measured in hundreds of years and you can see the quality that only that kind of experience can produce in every boat we build.
