About this vessel
The F-9AX is Ian Farrier's design that presaged the production Corsair F-31. F9As are boats that are comfortable on their trailers but still capable of very impressive sailing performance both upwind and off the wind. They can comfortably accommodate 2 couples while pleasantly exploring the shallowest coastal anchorages and make long, fast passages. The F9AX has a slightly wider main hull.
If both cruising or racing are on your list, they deserve a serious look. Accommodation, sailing performance, folding ability and trailer ability all in one boat. The reputation for excellent sailing performance, the practicality of the accommodation, trailer-ability and foldability already mark these boats out. Fast cruising could be very comfortable on board with the addition of a calorifier and heater.
