Overview

"Making Memories" - Manta 40 - has been updated and upgraded for independent cruising and off-grid adventures. Its robust solar power system is so efficient that the owners cruised for months through Florida and the Bahamas without ever needing to run the generator. The system easily powers the water maker, hot water heater, and air conditioning for several hours at night--effortlessly handling onboard needs! According to the owners, battery levels consistently stayed above 40%, even with regular use--an impressive testament to the self-sufficiency this yacht offers.

This catamaran is totally self-sufficient, Bluewater cruise ready with all the options including twin Volvo D1-30F diesel engines, newer 130S-C sail drives and Fold-A-Prop 3 blade folding propellers. It includes a newer generator with only 400 hours, newer Cruise RO water-maker, newer Velair AC units (Salon - 16K and Staterooms 12K BTU units), 2275w Solar Power, Ray Marine E-127 autopilot, WX220 Airmar solid state weather instrument, newer sails, rigging, asymmetric furling spinnaker, sheet lines, canvas privacy window covers, self-tending jib, spinnaker, newer Rocna 25 Anchor, newer baffled aluminum 95-gallon water tank with remote gauge and independent deck fill fitting, newer baffled 135-gallon diesel fuel tank, washer/dryer, and additional solar panels totaling 2275 watts.

The Manta 40 incorporates powerful, easy to handle rigging with self-tacking CamberSpar jib, and boasts a fully battened main with two reef points and single line reefing. The boom brake and all lines running aft to the helm make her a dream for single-handed sailing. The previous owner purchased a new set of sails but never used them. The current owner lightly used the sails for about 12 months - sails are in like-new condition. Features include a fully battened main sail by North with dual reef points and stack pack, 1.5 oz asymmetrical furling spinnaker with full control lines and Aramid luff line, fully battened CamberSpar self-tacking jib with downhaul lead to cockpit and sail cover, all running rigging leads aft through Harken deck organizer and independent line clutches to helm station for easy single-handing, Harken 6-line clutch system, Harken 44 2-speed electric self-tailing primary winch at helm with 2 winch motor controls, Harken 44 2 speed manual self-tailing winch center aft cockpit for spinnaker sheets with 2 manual winch handles, spare Harken manual mast winch, Harken 6-sheave line organizer, Dutchman boom brake, all running lines replaced in 2015, rigged spare main halyard, and full set of spare lines in starboard forward locker.

All mechanical systems are designed for maximum reliability and easy access for service and maintenance. The yacht is equipped with twin 29hp Volvo D1-30F diesel engines with approximately 450 hours since certified install. It has 2 new Volvo 130S-C sail drives with Flex-A-Fold folding props also with 450 hours, a Raycor dual-filter in-line filter, polishing and off boarding fuel system servicing both propulsion engines and generator. The salon includes a U-shaped UltraLeather settee with storage under, newer cushions, custom teak dining table providing seating for 7 or more, table surface folding inward onto itself creating a half size surface, table pedestal height adjustable allowing a coffee table option opening the space for multiple mini buffet areas and added standing room style entertaining, and expansive windows offering unparalleled views.

Accommodations comprise a master stateroom aft with guest library in the companionway to the master head accessible from the forward head and custom teak companionway steps. The master stateroom features a queen berth athwartship, cedar-lined hanging locker and under locker storage cabinet, 3 storage drawers, overhead hatch, and 12V DC fan. The master stateroom head includes Jabsco Quiet Flush fresh water electric toilet, vanity with countertop, sink and storage below, large mirrored medicine cabinet, separate large step-in shower area, overhead hatch, and 12V fan. The aft VIP stateroom also aft with small guest library in companionway to guest head accessible from forward guest stateroom and custom teak companionway steps features queen berth athwartship, cedar-lined hanging locker and under locker storage cabinet, 3 storage drawers, bench seat with under seat storage locker, overhead hatch, and 12V DC fan.
