Overview
The Jeanneau 53 is a superb bluewater cruising yacht from the highly experienced Philippe Briand design office, equipped with key features for enjoyable distance cruising. Named "Miss Foxy", she is based in Singapore and Langkawi registered, having cruised extensively across SE Asia with nearly 12,000 miles covered. The yacht has been meticulously maintained with constant updates and servicing to ensure trouble-free voyages at any time.
She features electric primary winches, a Targa davit system with solar, bow-thruster, and furling Code 1 spinnaker in a sock for ease of handling and maneuvering. The large cockpit is protected by a spraydodger and a long bimini. There is also a large climb-down bow-locker for offwind sails and bulky items.
Inside below deck, the saloon is expansive with an L-shaped galley to port with ample counter space, fridge & freezer, and opposite a full-sized forward-facing chart table at the nav station. Forward of this is a U-shaped dinette with a bench seat, and under the seat is a hidden drinks cabinet that folds out. The full-width master cabin is aft with an ensuite and dedicated shower stall. Twin guest cabins with ensuites are forward, also featuring single berths above the doubles for additional sleeping capacity.
The interior is fully air-conditioned and powered by an Onan generator. There is an optional second fuel tank and large water capacity, along with a watermaker for extended cruising. Powered by a Yanmar 110hp shaft drive engine with a 3-blade Gori prop with overdrive, she offers extended range and efficiency.
Instrumentation by B&G, replaced in 2023, includes twin autopilots, Zeus plotter aft of the cockpit table, AIS transceiver, radar, and multi displays. She is also equipped with Iridium GO for global offshore texting, email, and internet access.
This vessel provides an excellent opportunity to start from Singapore and explore the Malaysian coast, Thailand, the Indonesian archipelago, Australia, or the Pacific, making her ideal for extended world cruising.
