Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to do anything to enter? No. Listing your boat privately is your entry. There's no separate form.
Does sharing my listing improve my odds of winning? No, sharing doesn't affect your odds. It's there to help get more views on your listing while it's live.
What if I don't sell my boat this month? Your listing stays active and you're automatically re-entered into next month's draw.
How will I know if I've won? Winners are contacted directly through the details on their listing.
Can I enter more than once? One entry per active listing, per month. If you have more than one boat listed, each one is a separate entry.
When does the competition end? The competition runs through 30 November 2026. The final monthly draw will take place on or before this date, and no further entries will be accepted after it.
Terms and Conditions
1. The Promotion
1.1 This promotion ("Competition") is run by We Find Your Boat Limited, operating as Boatseekr ("Boatseekr", "we", "us", "our").
1.2 The Competition offers eligible private sellers the chance to win a monthly prize by listing a boat for sale privately on the Boatseekr platform (boatseekr.com).
1.3 The Competition runs from 12 August and ends on 30 November 2026 ("End Date"). No further draws will take place after the End Date, and listings will no longer be entered from that date onward.
1.4 By entering the Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The Competition is open to any individual who creates and maintains a private (non-dealer, non-broker) boat listing on Boatseekr during the relevant entry period.
2.2 The Competition is open globally, to entrants in any country, except where participation is prohibited or restricted by local law. It is each entrant's responsibility to confirm they are permitted to enter under the laws of their country or region of residence.
2.3 Boatseekr employees, contractors, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
2.4 Dealer and broker listings are not eligible. Only private seller listings qualify.
2.5 Entrants must be the legal owner of the boat listed, or have the legal owner's authorisation to list and sell it.
3. How to Enter
3.1 No purchase, payment, or separate entry form is required.
3.2 Entry is automatic: any private boat listing that is live and active on Boatseekr at the time of the monthly draw is treated as one entry into that month's draw.
3.3 One entry per active listing. Sellers with multiple active private listings will have one entry per listing.
3.4 Sharing a listing is optional and does not affect an entrant's chances of winning. Sharing may help increase visibility of the listing but has no bearing on the draw.
3.5 Listings must be genuine, accurate, and comply with Boatseekr's standard listing guidelines to remain eligible. Boatseekr reserves the right to disqualify any listing it reasonably believes to be fraudulent, duplicated, or in breach of its listing guidelines.
4. The Prize
4.1 One winner will be drawn each calendar month.
4.2 The prize is a digital marketing package to the value of $200 NZD, intended to help promote the winner's boat listing. Including featured placement, social media promotion and paid social media ad spend.
4.3 The prize has no cash alternative and is not transferable to another person.
4.4 Boatseekr reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable.
5. The Draw
5.1 The winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible active listings on the 1st of each month, or the next business day if the 1st falls on a weekend or public holiday.
5.2 The draw will be conducted using a random number generator applied to eligible listing IDs.
5.3 Listings that remain active and unsold will automatically be re-entered into the following month's draw.
5.4 Boatseekr's decision as to the winner is final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome of the draw.
6. Notification of Winner
6.1 The winner will be contacted using the contact details provided on their Boatseekr listing within 2 business days of the draw.
6.2 If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 5 days of the first notification attempt, Boatseekr reserves the right to redraw and select an alternative winner.
6.3 Boatseekr may request the winner provide reasonable proof of identity and ownership of the listed boat before the prize is awarded.
7. General Conditions
7.1 Boatseekr reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Competition at any time, including these Terms and Conditions, without prior notice, where reasonably necessary to do so.
7.2 Boatseekr reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who, in Boatseekr's reasonable opinion, has breached these Terms and Conditions or engaged in fraudulent or improper conduct.
7.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boatseekr accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the Competition or acceptance of the prize.
7.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any rights an entrant may have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
8. Privacy
8.1 Any personal information collected as part of listing a boat or administering this Competition will be handled in accordance with Boatseekr's Privacy Policy, click on the bottom right of this page.
8.2 Winner details may be used by Boatseekr for the purposes of prize fulfilment and, with the winner's separate consent, for promotional purposes such as a social media announcement.
9. This Promotion Is Not Sponsored by Meta
9.1 This Competition is run by Boatseekr and is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook, or Instagram.
