FatCat is a New Zealand-based boat manufacturer dedicated to creating safe, stable, and versatile catamaran boats tailored for Kiwi boaties. Founded in 2018, the company focuses on producing boats that combine robustness, enormous cockpit space, and incredible stability.

The idea for FatCat began with Blair McLay designing and building the first prototype in 2014/2015 leading eventually to the FatCat 4000 and later the FatCat 4500 also. FatCat's mission revolves around providing value-for-money boats that are hard-wearing, innovative, quiet in water, and equipped with features like self-draining floors, swim steps, and a shallow draft. These boats are suited for activities such as fishing, diving, hunting, commercial pursuits, and family fun, while offering exceptional safety and space compared to traditional small boats.

FatCat Boats integrate foam inside the hulls making them unsinkable, coupled with high freeboard, and self-draining cockpits, making them incredibly safe. Their catamaran design ensures a soft ride and excellent stability both underway and at rest.
