Fin Chaser Boats was founded in 2011 by Ross Christensen, who identified the need to improve smaller-sized aluminium boats in New Zealand. With over 20 years of experience in using, selling, and servicing trailer boats, Ross combined his engineering background with his passion for fishing, diving, and boat racing to set a new standard in practical, high-quality, and cost-effective aluminium boat packages.
The company is a family-run business based in Hamilton, New Zealand. Since 2015, the factory has expanded to meet the growing demand for their award-winning aluminium boats. Ross's son, Max Christensen, joined the business bringing his technical expertise and passion for game fishing, further strengthening the team.
Fin Chaser Boats are recognized for their exceptional safety, stability, and functionality, offering over 16 different boat packages designed for fishing, diving, and family recreation. The boats are crafted using Loyds-certified high tensile marine grade alloy (5082), ensuring consistent build quality and superior hull performance, with a visually great profile.
