Offshore Boats NZ is a New Zealand boat manufacturer focused on delivering high-performance, durable aluminium plate boats designed for offshore fishing, diving and commercial use. The brand was led in design by founder Jonathon Barlow, whose primary objective was to solve the plate-boat ride problem by creating a balance plate hull that delivers a much smoother ride than conventional plate designs.
The Offshore range is designed, developed and manufactured in New Zealand by Northland Marine Co. Key engineering and build features highlighted on the company's site include an 8mm alloy hull and an 18° deadrise, which Offshore emphasises for strength, durability and a smoother ride in rough conditions. The company positions itself around quality and craftsmanship rather than volume: its tagline and mission statements on the site use phrases such as “Driven by Performance” and “We don’t want to build the most boats, we want to build the BEST boats.”
