The company began in Sydney, Australia, launching its first model, the 38 MKI, before relocating to the Gold Coast, Queensland in 1981. From a humble start with a staff of five building eight boats in the first year, Riviera quickly expanded throughout the 1980s, designing, building, and exporting over a dozen new models to the USA and Europe, establishing a culture of excellence.
By the early 1990s, Riviera had won Modern Boating's Boat of the Year award for three consecutive years with three different models, reflecting its dedication to quality and innovation. The company's growth continued with the construction of a state-of-the-art facility at Coomera in 1998, from where it began producing many new handcrafted models into the early 2000s.
Today, Riviera stands as Australia's premier luxury motor yacht builder and a global leader in the marine industry. Based on a 16.8-hectare site at Coomera, Gold Coast, Riviera handcrafts five stunning luxury motor yacht collections ranging from 39 to 78 feet. With over 6,000 boats built and a dedicated team of 900 employees, Riviera exports more than 60% of its production worldwide. Riviera yachts are renowned for their peerless quality, structural strength, innovative design, luxurious finishes, and ease of operation.
