Description
The 2023 Stabicraft 1550 Frontier marks the much-anticipated return of a popular model. It has been reworked and rearranged for broader end-user appeal, expanding on features of its smaller sibling, the 1450 Frontier, while offering an open-boat style alternative to the 1550 Fisher.
This boat is very spacious for its size, accommodating up to 5 persons, and has a dry hull weight of 500 kg. It supports a maximum horsepower limit of 75 HP, with a minimum recommended horsepower of 50 HP, and has a fuel tank capacity of 60 liters.
Key specifications include a hull length of 4.77 m, beam width of 2.05 m, boat height from 1.62 m to 2.32 m, an internal beam of 1.46 m, and a deadrise aft angle of 15 degrees. The hull thickness is 4 mm.
The boat features various package options (Adventure, Sportfish, Profish) that include EVA foam topside surfaces, boarding platforms, ladder, tote-tank fuel setup, windscreen & grabrail, and options for bait boards, coaming handrails, fish pro seat, washdown pump, removable casting platform, live bait tank, and trolling motor mounts.
The removable casting platform in the bow is a tough yet light feature that allows quick reconfiguration of the boat for fishing or passenger seating. The transom has improvements for better battery access and storage, including a powder-coated door to hide the battery shelf and additional storage compartment.
Certifications include NZ CPC boat safety standards, US Coastguard boat safety standards, ABP boat safety standards, and EU CE Certification category C (Tote Tank only).
