Restored to her former glory by her current owners. She was designed and built by Jack Guard in 1946 to carry stores to D ville Island and whale chasing in the Cook Straight area. Built from heart Kauri, she is as sound as a wooden boat of that era can possibly be. As seen in the photographs, as part of the rebuild, the hull has been stripped right back to bare timber. Powered by a 4CY Perkins diesel engine which gives a very economical 7.5kts cruising speed. This vessel is reminiscent of times past and is a credit to her current owners who are retiring from the sea.
