Looking for a Classic with racing pedigree? Yanira was developed following the International 12 Metre Rule and built primarily of mahogany and oak. She measures 17.9 meters (59 feet) in length, with a beam of 3.8 meters and a draft of 2.6 meters. Yanira displaces roughly 22 tons and sports a full keel consistent with classic 12-metre designs.

Racing History Yanira is a very fast cruiser-racer with an extensive record of 28 wins since 1984, including seven Copa del Rey -six consecutives- and five editions of the Puig Vela Classica Barcelona (2010, 2011, 2013, 2024, 2025), Three wins in Les Voiles de Saint Tropez (1999, 2002, 2016), Les Dames in 2015 & 2016 and even in IR Cruise General Alfonso XIII Trophy Barcelona- as well as notable placements in other Mediterranean classic yacht events. Known for consistent performanceand admired for her speed and condition.

Refit In 2013, the owner launched an extensive restoration, including new mastand rigging instalation, new sails and chainplates, complete re-caulking and plank replacement according to original build standards. New Yamaha engine. Annual maintenance.

1953: Designed by Bjarne Aas, renowned Norwegian naval architect specialized in 12-metre class yachts. 1954: Built and launched as Ingeborg for Norwegian owner Ragnar Appelgren. Constructed of mahogany and oak, following the classic 12-metre international rule design. 1960: Sold to Spanish industrialist Manuel Gir f3 Minguella, who renamed her Yanira. 1970s: Ownership transferred to a syndicate of Spanish yacht enthusiasts, continuing Mediterranean cruising and racing. 1983: Became sole property of Federico Garc eda Planas, who maintained her as an active competitor in classic regattas. 2013: Underwent major restoration as part of the Regatta Experience project, 2014 onward: Regular participation in Mediterranean classic yacht regattas, including Puig Vela Cl e0ssica, under current ownership and charter management.
