1973 Contest 33, a cruising yacht renowned for her robust construction, comfortable motion at sea and the high build quality of Conyplex. This is a seriously maintained boat, well equipped and benefitting from several significant recent upgrades.
Builder: Conyplex (Netherlands) — an iconic 1970s model, well known for her strength and timeless elegance. Current owner is the 4th since 2011.
The boat features a Yammer 3GM30 engine (20 kW / 27 hp, installed in 1997) with 3,121 engine hours, serviced in May 2025. Recent works include engine service (May 2025), antifouling (July 2025), seacocks replaced (2024), batteries renewed (2024), standing rigging replaced (2022), and halyards renewed between 2022 and 2024.
Well-equipped with a Profurl headsail furler, mainsail with battens and 3 reefing points, furling genoa, and symmetrical spinnaker with pole. The boat is fitted with Harken winches, Vetus electric windlass, sprayhood, sun awning, swim ladder, and cockpit table. Navigation and instruments include Raymarine log/speed, depth sounder and wind instruments, Furuno radar, Raymarine autopilot, VHF, and AIS. Additional amenities include Webasto heating, pressurised fresh water system, water heater, and 400 L stainless steel water tanks.
Safety equipment includes a 4-person liferaft (2024), fixed electric bilge pump, emergency tiller, lifebuoy, and fire extinguisher.
