Jeanneau Sun Fast 42 (1997) carefully maintained and ready to go. Healthy, fast, and seaworthy, ideal for offshore racing-cruising by a conscientious owner.
Recent equipment throughout: mainsail and genoa both from 2021, new forestay, drum, and swivel installed in March 2025. Additional sails include a symmetrical spinnaker with sock, offshore genoa, and storm jib, all on furlers.
Electronics are comprehensive and modern: Raymarine EV400 autopilot with hydraulic ram and remote control, Raymarine I70 pack with wind, log, and sounder instruments at both helm and chart table, AIS transceiver, dual Garmin GPS chartplotters with Europe and Caribbean maps, and dual VHF radios. Two 17-inch PC screens provide display redundancy.
Onboard power is autonomous: 300 W solar panels and a Seatronic hydrogenerator installed in 2023 support a 500 W inverter and refurbished 220 V circuit. For comfort: Webasto heating with dedicated 60 L diesel tank, Dometic refrigerator, and a full galley with gas stove, oven, and induction burner. Yanmar 4JH2E 50 hp engine with refurbished gearbox (2021). Dinghy with 4 hp outboard included. Safety equipment includes liferaft and EPIRB.
