About this vessel
The Nicholson 31 is a classic bluewater cruiser. "Although at first sight, with her long keel, she seems very similar to her older sister, the ever popular, classic Nicholson 32, she is very much a more modern boat. Unashamedly a cruising boat, owing nothing to rating formulae and current trends, the emphasis in the design is on comfort and sea kindliness, rather than speed (not that she is a sluggard in any way). She is very solidly constructed and has been put together to the standard that one has traditionally come to expect of her builders."
This Nicholson 31 was sailed out from the UK solo by her current owner. She is internationally registered and has been fully imported into Australia. Her owner had to return to the UK due to family reasons hence she is for sale here in Australia. She is blue water capable with all the gear needed. She does need a cosmetic tidy up.
There is a thorough survey from the UK before she embarked on her journey. She is currently on the hard in Port Douglas.
The underwater hull was completely stripped, faired and complete paint system added in spring 2020.
The saloon has a bar locker and a genuine Sestrel clock.
