Quarter Moon was originally the personal ship of the president of Hans Christian and custom built to his desired specifications. She remains in superb condition and is a credit to her current owners.

In 2016–2017, Quarter Moon received a full refurbishment, which attracted local press coverage. The refurbishment included a complete repaint of the decks, topsides and mast, complete new lighting converted to LED, new Raymarine electronics, electric head and plumbing, a new hot water heater, new refrigeration unit, new standard and running rigging, and all new leather upholstery in the saloon.

Additional upgrades in 2021–2022 included a new 80-litre-per-hour Stella water maker with auto flush system, a new hard dodger hardtop with clears, new head sail and lazy jacks boom covers and sail bags, and a complete bottom job with barrier paint and antifouling.

This is a beautiful yacht, and inspection is highly recommended.
