About this vessel
These Robert Hick designed and built 35' racing yachts are well known for their sailing performance and "HONEYPOT" is no exception.
One of her sister ships "Midnight Rambler" was the winner of the infamous 1998 Sydney Hobart yacht race. You can read the amazing story in the SMH "Surviving the 1998 the Sydney to Hobart super storm.
"Honeypot" is racing out of Beauty Point (Northern Tasmania) and she has undergone continuous maintenance and upgrades maintaining Cat 2 for offshore racing.
"Honeypot" is regularly sailed and as such all the running gear is in good order. Since owning the boat the owners have completed 3 X Launceston to Hobart races, 1 X Bruny Island race as well as many other races and crossings across Bass Strait.
She is powered by a 2002 17HP Volvo Penta Diesel inboard (regularly serviced). Hours are pretty minimal (average 10-20 hours a year) as the boat is predominantly used for sailing/racing with little to no cruising.
"HONEYPOT" is very strongly built and reinforced racing yacht and she is ready for you to stow your gear on board and go racing.
