About this vessel
The Pekljus Radford 50 is a 2004 sailing yacht designed by Graham Radford and built by McIntyre Marine in Australia. She features a composite vinylester and corecell laminate hull with a bulb keel on duplex stainless steel, and a balsa core fibreglass composite deck. The yacht is powered by a 33hp Yamaha sail drive engine with an enclosed engine room and achieves a maximum speed of 9 knots under motor.
Accommodation comprises six bunks with two removable pipe cots. The galley is well-equipped with a microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, and pie warmer. There is one Jabsco electric toilet with sea water flush, a single stainless steel sink, and a 12V built-in opening fridge. One shower is fitted. The vessel carries 450 litres of potable water in tanks and has a 120-litre stainless steel fuel tank.
The yacht features an aluminium twin swept spreader rig with aluminium boom and 1x19 wire. A bowsprit with integrated tack lines carries a self-tacking jib system (currently not fitted). The mast is fitted with one Harken Mk III and one Harken Mk IV structural furlers, and a hydraulic backstay adjuster. Deck gear includes two Harken electric cabintop winches, two Harken electric primary winches, two Harken 57 mainsheet winches, and Spinlock jammers.
Navigation and electronics include a Raymarine GPS chart plotter with integrated sat phone, AIS Class B transponder, Garmin instruments, auto pilot, B&G control unit, and flux gate gyro compass. A compass is mounted at the helm, with GPS antenna on deck. Radio equipment includes HF and VHF with antennas for VHF, FM, and AIS.
The electrical system features a Fisher Panda generator, inverter/charger, lithium ion house batteries, and 12V LED interior lighting with LED navigation lights. An air conditioning system is installed. The yacht complies with AYF Cat 1 safety standards.
Two anchors are fitted with chain and warp. Covers include boom cover, cockpit cover, and wheel cover. Bilge pumping comprises both electric and manual systems. The steering system uses an aluminium wheel with integrated Raymarine auto pilot via a B&G quadrant.
