Catalac 36

MoonShine is a high quality craftsman-built 36ft Catalac Catamaran, a well-maintained fun boat to cruise in. The spacious open, bright interior has great visibility and 6'-3" headroom. Catalacs are known to be very safe and strongly built with GRP sandwich fiberglass construction.

Moonshine is set up for self-sustained time on board with a 420w Silent Wind generator with controller, 3 solar panels, 2 Epever MMPT controllers and a 3000w Renology pure sine wave inverter. Six 106ah Sub Stone house batteries and 2 starter batteries power the 2 Yanmar diesel engines.

Steering is hydraulic Vetus with an ST-7000 Autohelm autopilot. An Aqua Tec DC 500-1 watermaker can produce 14.5 gallons per hour for the two 92.5-gallon water tanks.

All sails are in good condition. There is a Furlex Type B MKII Furling system. The mainsail is by Arun, the headsail is Arun, the 110% Jib is by Yelkenbichler and the jib/gennaker is by E-F.

The tender is a 2021 AB 9ft aluminum with 2021 Yamaha 15hp 2-stroke.

The head is a 2020 TMP electric unit with macerator rebuilt in 2025 with new holding tank and overboard discharge. There is a 2023 2-burner gas stove top and a Waeco 40-gallon fridge/freezer.

2025 work and maintenance: Bottom job with 2 coats Sherwin Williams Antifouling and Pettit Prop Coat. All engine and saildrive fluids changed, zincs replaced. Separators cleaned and drained. Bowls and strainers cleaned. Water, fuel and propane lines tested. Windlass relay and foot switches replaced with spares added. Modified arch and davit with supports and stainless backing plates. Rebuilt winches. Rebuilt water pumps on engines. Rebuilt toilet. Checked all thru-hull fittings.
