Overview

About this vessel

"CHAIRMAN" is a custom built 80-foot aluminum built sportfish motor yacht designed and built by Palmer Johnson Yachts of Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin in 1997 and delivered in 1998. She is twin diesel engine powered. She has flush decks with enclosed flybridge and cockpit stern with swim platform. She is finished in an all white two-part polyurethane paint with black boot stripe painted in June 2018.

The vessel had a major refit in 2018 with new paint, new generator, all new LED lighting, smart TVs, new 15 Tons air conditioning, new carpet, headliners, electronic Twin Disc controls, new dive compressor and multiple updates.

Starting all the way forward below decks are the guest accommodations. Through a dogged and gasket hinged lockable door forward is a guest cabin with upper and lower berths and a built-in settee with smart TV. In the overhead is a dogged and gasket hinged hatch to the foredeck. There are built-in hanging lockers and teak cabinetry throughout.

Aft to starboard is a private head with toilet, vanity sink, and large stall shower with seat. There is a custom built desk with under counter beverage refrigerator provided. To starboard forward from the guest accommodations passageway is a door leading to a laundry center. The laundry center consists of a GE Spacemaker washer and dryer. Opposite to port is a guest cabin with twin lower berths. There is a hanging teak locker and private head. The head has a toilet, vanity sink, and stall shower. In here is a hatch to the foredeck.

Aft to starboard is a companionway down and aft to the master stateroom. The master stateroom is full beam and features a full size berth extending aft from the forward bulkhead. There are 2 large teak hanging lockers provided along with a desk area with chair. There are built-in cabinets and storage shelves and dressers throughout. Forward to starboard is a private head with toilet, dual bowl vanity sink, and a large stall shower. There is an overhead hatch provided.

The lower accommodations are finished with carpeted floors, painted wood overheads, whisper ostrich skin wall coverings, and satin finish wood veneers. The heads floors are finished with teak floor epoxy.

On centerline aft from the guest accommodations passageway is a companionway with carpet flooring treads and handrail leading up to the galley, dinette, and main salon. The galley is located forward to port. It is finished with polished stone countertops and epoxy encase teak floors.

Directly opposite the galley to starboard is a large dinette area with varnished wood table and U-shaped upholstered seating with storage beneath. Forward is a built-in bookcase. Port and starboard are large fixed windows with wood electric slat blinds.

Directly aft of the galley and dinette is a large salon and bar area. There are large fixed windows port and starboard and a dogged and gasket water tight hinged lockable glass panel door aft on centerline out to the mezzanine and cockpit. To port is a built-in U-shaped leather upholstered seating area with storage beneath and two pedestal mount cocktail tables. Opposite to starboard is a smaller built-in settee and wet bar area. At the wet bar is a KitchenAid bin ice maker and a glass front wine storage refrigerator. Forward is an entertainment cabinet area with smart television on electric lift.

The main deck, galley, dinette, and salon area are finished with carpet flooring, mat finish teak wood veneers and whisper wall ostrich skin worland ceiling system. The after section at the deck entry is finished with a epoxy teak.

The enclosed Pilot House is accessed by a wide curved companionway floor with solid teak treads and stainless steel handrails to the mezzanine deck. The Pilot House area is finished with carpeted floor over epoxy teak floors, mat finish wood veneers walls, and cabinetry, and whisper walls ceilings. There is a 5-panel windshield forward and windows port and starboard with sliding glass windows. Aft is a watertight lockable latching panel door with window looking out to the bridge aft deck.

Forward on centerline is a fully instrumented helm with Stidd pedestal mount helm chair and stainless steel ship wheel. To starboard is a companion bench leather seater sleeper couch. To port is an L-shaped settee with leather upholstered seating, storage, and pedestal mount varnished teak table. The seating area raised platform is finished in a varnished teak. There is a chart drawer below. Aft to port is a full head with toilet, vanity sink, and stall shower. There is a window looking out to the bridge aft deck. Opposite to starboard is a built-in settee/sleeper sofa. Directly aft of the sleeper sofa is a wet bar area with under counter mounted KitchenAid ice maker and glass wine refrigerator.

The painted nonskid decks of the foredeck are protected by waist high polished stainless steel handrails. In the bow pulpit is seen an over/under anchor arrangement with an approximate 200-lb. Danforth and a 150-lb. plow anchors. The anchors are shackled to an undetermined length of 1/2” G40 galvanized steel anchor chain hauled by separate Maxwell 3500 anchor windlasses with vertical capstans and gypsies operated by flush mounted foot switches on deck. In the toe rail are open fairleads to bolted stainless steel cleats on deck.

On the foredeck are dark smoked Plexiglas Bomar dogged and gasket hinged hatches into the lower accommodations. On centerline are a set of tender chocks. To port is seen a Nautical Structures hydraulic davit. To starboard is an Avon 6-person canistered life raft on hydrostatic release.

Built into the front of the house are footholds up to the bridge deck. To port of centerline on the forward house is a quick acting watertight gasket hatch to a bosun’s locker. Located in this locker are ventilation fans and a fire station with hydrant, hose, compressed air, anchor wash down and a huge storage area.

The painted nonskid side decks extend aft along the house sides. In the deck are stainless steel cleats with half round chafe protection. On the starboard side deck is a waste pump out fitting, potable water fill, and fuel fill. In the port side deck is a water fill and fuel fill.

Mounted to the house sides are Lee’s 41-foot quad spreader anodized aluminum outriggers and the navigation lights. Removable steps with teak treads at the end of each side deck provide access to the cockpit.

The teak overlay decks of the cockpit are protected with teak covering boards. In the covering boards are rod holders and a flagstaff mount. Forward on centerline are teak overlay treads up to the painted nonskid mezzanine level. The mezzanine is protected by stainless steel handrails. To starboard is a built-in bench seat. To port is a curved stairway with teak treads to the aft bridge deck. Under the stairway is a storage mount for the rocker launcher and the fighting chair.

On the mezzanine bulkhead is a B & G HS2 multifunction display. The mezzanine is partially protected overhead by the bridge deck overhang. In the overhead are flush mount multicolor lights with marine stereo speakers.

To port from the cockpit is a bait station with stainless steel sink and top loading freezer/refrigerator. To starboard are the watertight gasket doors to the engine room and dive locker. In the deck to starboard is a flush hatch to the lazarette. To port is a fish box. On centerline is a Release fighting chair with offset pedestal mount. Port and starboard aft are fairleads to stainless steel cleats. To starboard of centerline is a two-part hinged door out to the painted nonskid swim step. Inside the door is a telephone type swim shower.

The painted name and hailing port on the transom reads “CHAIRMAN”, “George Town, Cayman Islands”. The engraved hull identification number taken from the starboard transom corner reads “PAJ00219E797”.

The painted nonskid bridge aft deck is protected by waist high stainless steel handrails. Overhead is protected by the housetop overhang. In the overhang are flush mounted lights. To starboard is a backing station. Forward on centerline is a door to the bridge. To starboard is a built-in bench seat with storage. Above is a set of analog and digital gauges and a Wagner rudder angle indicator.

Centerline off the overhang is the stern light and cockpit floodlight. Port and starboard on the upper bridge sides are sail tracks, cars, and fiberglass whip antennas. The painted nonskid bridge top decks are accessed via Bomar dogged and gasket hinged Plexiglas hatches centerline from the bridge.

"CHAIRMAN" is a dual station yacht with the majority of her electronics, communication, and navigation equipment being located in the enclosed flybridge. The secondary helm station is located on aft upper of the flybridge with full controls for trolling bow thrusters navigation and communication.

“CHAIRMAN” is in excellent overall mechanical and cosmetic condition. She has benefited from her recent multimillion dollar refit. Her exterior is well painted and shows very well. Her interior is virtually new. Her engine room equipment is very well maintained and fully serviceable also having benefited from a recent refit. The bilges throughout are clean and dry and virtually free of corrosion.
