About this vessel
The Hunter 356 is a fine balance of practical design features that will appeal to a wide range of boaters. Over 500 of this model were built as a testament to the designs appeal. The hull is easily driven under power or sail and features an easily managed roller main and jib, a large covered cockpit with ample seating and storage, a convenient walk thru transom, a functional galley, a plush salon, a vee berth forward and a queen size berth aft. Overall, Velella is a very well maintained and outfitted example of the popular Hunter 356. Her name is taken after a blue hued pelagic jellyfish known as a "by-the-wind-sailor".
