Judel Vrolijk TP52
Overview
About this vessel
This 2006 TP52, designed by Judel Vrolijk & Co and built by Hakes Marine, is a top-tier racing yacht upgraded for peak IRC performance. Acquired in 2010 by its current owner, this vessel has been continuously refined to dominate both inshore and offshore racing circuits.
In 2010, the boat received a new keel bulb and bowsprit for improved handling, plus a forward watertight bulkhead and mid-bow ring frame for offshore racing compliance. The 2013 upgrades included a new mast and EC6 rigging for enhanced performance and reliability. Extended side decks were added in 2015 for better crew movement and efficiency. A 2016 optimization removed all lead from the hull and keel fin, significantly reducing weight for superior speed. All upgrades were designed by Judel Vrolijk and executed by Hakes Marine.
The boat has a proven track record in Asia's most competitive races, including a 2019 overall winner finish in the Hong Kong to Vietnam Race, first place in the 2018 IRC China Coast Regatta, and a 2024 second-place finish in the Round The Island Race (HK).
