Custom 10.5 m House Boat

Keeping it simple can at times be the best way forward in boating and this little house boat does just what it says on the box.... Its a home away from home, simple, clean lines with good accommodation and all the modern convinces you need around you without the clutter of our daily lives. It could be the water side family holiday shack, the best little FIFO shack when you are not on swing or just somewhere to get away for a few days relaxing dropping a crab net over the back of the boat.

Step through the bow gate onto the landing, slide open the glass doors, roll back the curtains and let all the natural light fill the boat, slide open the side windows for a lovely cross breeze, grab a drink from the Fisher & Paykal upright fridge and just relax.... The perfect home away from home. The uncluttered approach of this boat is refreshing. A lounge to the Starboard side, small table to the Port side, a storage hutch along the rear wall with stove ontop and a Sony flat screen TV on the wall. Its just one of those boats that begs you to relax, there isn t anything more you need to do.

Running along the Starboard side is a crisp white Galley installation, great storage, Stainless sink, benchtop oven and a porthole window letting more of that natural light in. It simple, functional and really all you need. Neatly tucked in the corner a Fisher & Paykal upright fridge freezer stands taking care of all the essentials for a weekend or week onboard. The current owners have not spent much time out of the pen, it has been a home away from home when visiting from overseas. They are now looking to see Australia by Caravan and the boat is no longer in the picture.

Open the rear door directly out onto the swim platfrom complete with ladder and storage facility, an ideal place for the kyak to be stored. Head up the rear stairs to the mezzanine. Fully enclosed with clears and a hardtop overhead. This is where the real relaxation begins. A corner lounge just waiting for you to slide into it with a book or take up a place at the outdoor setting with a few friends and enjoy a BBQ on a summers night watching the local dolphins swim past. A fantastic extended living space if you are here for more than a few nights.

A master berth aft with a privacy screen fitted with a queen sized bed will have you sleeping like never before, the salty sea air will drain your energy making sleep a welcome end to the day. Off to the Port side midships a single bunk is installed with room for a second bunk if required. Currently being used as a single with draws below for the current owners extended visits. Option the saloon lounge for an additional berth if required. All the family is happy in their own bed.

Powered by a pair of Suzuki 40 Hp four stroke engines she will get along at the required 5 or 6 knots making the trip to no where take the whole day as it should in a house boat. Twin hydraulic cylinders fitted to the outboards ensures she will steering comfortably. Its pleasure to drive although the current owners have done very little out of the pen with the boat short of a fuel or discharge run across the marina with the odd trip up the Murray river.
