This Hick 40 has been specifically configured to deliver performance, reliability and manageable sail handling for modern offshore racing. The sail inventory is extensive and highly competitive.
Carbon Rig and Updated Systems
The yacht features a carbon mast with rod rigging replaced in 2022, followed by a further mast-out inspection completed in May 2025. A carbon bowsprit with twin tack lines was fitted new in 2023, and a carbon whisker pole is also aboard. The hydraulic backstay was serviced in December 2025.

Modern Offshore Electronics Package
The electronics package is comprehensive and race-ready, centred around the highly regarded B&G H5000 system. This setup provides excellent navigation, communication and performance monitoring capability for offshore racing.

Below decks, the interior is lightweight, functional and designed around offshore practicality. Accommodation includes six pipe cots and four saloon settee berths. The navigation station is positioned centrally aft of the engine for practical offshore use. The galley features a custom twin Jetboil gimballed cooker system, icebox, and heavy-duty 12V fridge. Forward is a manual marine toilet.
