Overview
About this vessel
Serious bluewater cruising catamaran project based on a Simpson design, being a lengthened version of the proven KTR catamaran.
This vessel has been professionally and substantially constructed with the major structural work completed, including hulls, bulkheads, cockpit structure and major engineering components already acquired. A rare opportunity for an experienced sailor, marine builder or cruising couple to complete a very capable offshore aluminium catamaran without starting from scratch.
Construction
Aluminium construction throughout. Hull plating is 4 mm to waterline and 3 mm above waterline, with cabin top forward section in 4 mm plate. Keels feature 12 mm bottom plate with 5 mm sides and floors. The hulls are structurally complete with forward bulkheads, mast bulkheads, and cockpit bulkheads all completed. Cockpit floor and beams are completed, along with floor lockers and lids. The cockpit seating and lockers are fabricated but left removable to simplify installation of helm and engine control systems. Main cabin and forward cabin roofs and decks are intentionally left unfitted to facilitate easier installation of interior fitout and systems.

High-quality professionally manufactured rig package including an 18 metre anodised aluminium mast by All Yacht Spars, Queensland with tapered masthead section. Boom by Seldén. Complete standing rigging with Dyform rigging and Norseman terminals. Internal halyard arrangements and mast foot fittings and sheaves completed. Sails include a new mainsail by Michael Hunt Sails, Townsville, and various headsails included.
